In our group spreadsheet I was able to make reasonable judgments to find categories for this assignment. Some of the thought out categorizes I created were unique compared to the other team and the quantitative and qualitative data we collected from our fellow classmates resulted in giving us quality data and unique graphs. The Lost and Found team had to analyse our final data to figure out what graphs would work best for comparing the different types of data we collected. Notice how we inputted the height of our fellow classmates. We used critical thinking and brightly made two columns for height in feet. One for feet tall, and the column next to it was the leftover height in inches. The column next to that one was the height only in inches and it was easier to do the math to find it because we imputed the height in feet with inches next to it and programed a formula into excel so it would give us the exact height in inches.
In our probability assignment we did in class, we were tasked with rolling two dice 18 times and recording the added up result of the two dice. We did this with a partner given to us by our team advisor and recorded our partners results. This assignment shows that I can make sound decisions through use of visual explanation in the form of bar graphs and in my use of short and simple, yet precise explanation of each graph. We analysed every group of two’s data and compared them with the whole team and applied our knowledge of probability to design an academically strong graph.
In our team’s game rules for our serious game, we made two sets of very similar rules with a different aspect to test out which would be better for presenting at sense of place. The group I took notes on for the beta testing, only had one dice and the other group had two. Our game didn’t get a chance to end because it was taking so long. After our time was up, the Lost and Found rounded up and discussed our game rules and what worked and what didn’t work during the beta test. We we were discussing, we all decided is would be more logical to use two dice so the game wouldn’t take too long. We analysed our rules and figured out that the game had a strong core and only needed a few details changed a little. We analysed the strategy of our game and it was a little weak, so as a group we added the It Can Wait! Cards to give the game a more applicable strategies that would involve winning the game having more thought to it rather than just rolling dice and moving your game piece. The beta testing helped our team analyse our game to make it the best!
